Your tasks  

 

  • Innovate and Lead: Spearhead the development of state-of-the-art data observability solutions that guarantee high-quality, reliable, and well-monitored data pipelines, driving us towards technological leadership.
  • Proactive Problem Solver: Implement advanced monitoring, detection, and alerting systems to identify anomalies, inconsistencies, and missing information before they impact our business.
  • Collaborative Optimizer: Work hand-in-hand with data teams to refine data pipelines and address performance or quality challenges with agility and precision.
  • Metrics Master: Define and uphold key data health metrics, ensuring transparency and traceability through comprehensive documentation.
  • Tech Trailblazer: Harness the power of automation and AI-driven tools to elevate data monitoring and anomaly detection to new heights.
  • Cross-Functional Coordinator: Provide expertise, training, and support, ensuring seamless integration and coordination across data products.
  • Quality Champion: Ensure all data products and pipelines adhere to rigorous data quality monitoring processes and procedures.

 

 

 

Your profile

 

  • You hold a university degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or equivalent.
  • You bring at least 5 years of experience as a data engineer, with a deep understanding of data engineering concepts, data pipelines, and cloud data platforms.
  • You have expert-level skills in SQL and Python, with experience in Node.js considered a plus. Familiarity with data observability tools such as OpenSearch, OpenTelemetry, Grafana; OpenMetadata, Data Contract CLI, Great Expectations, Soda, and Databricks is essential.
  • You possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills to proactively detect and resolve data issues.
  • You demonstrate strong ownership, driving initiatives that elevate team outcomes and customer satisfaction.
  • Highly effective verbal and written communication skills in English, with knowledge of German and/or French as an advantage.
