As a Data Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in moulding our data infrastructure and analytics, directly influencing our customer service improvements and business innovations. This is a career shaping experience as it will give you the opportunity to work on establishing the foundations of the Enterprise Data Platform while working closely together with Business Teams to deliver end-to-end high-value data use cases.

 

 

 

Your tasks 

 

 

•    You support our business stakeholders in continuously integrating different data sources to our central Data Platform
•    You collaborate directly with Business Teams to understand their data analytics needs and translate these into actionable data models and pipelines
•    You develop and maintain data models that accurately represent business processes and support advanced analytics use cases
•    You design, build, and manage robust data pipelines to ingest and process data from various sources
•    You create relevant documentation for your Data Models, enabling exploration and reusability
•    You structure and manage our data lake to ensure optimal performance and accessibility of data
•    You monitor the performance of data pipelines and troubleshoot any issues that arises
•    You implement an efficient orchestration framework for automating data processing tasks
•    You collaborate with data scientists to enable production ready advanced analytics and machine learning capabilities
•    You utilize your strong AWS knowledge to architect and manage features in our data platform
•    You apply DevOps principles to ensure the stability, scalability, and security of our data infrastructure

 


Your profile

 

 

•    You hold a university degree in computer science/engineering, mathematics, economics or you have an equivalent working experience of minimum 3 years in data analysis or data engineering role
•    You have an experience with various data storage technologies including relational databases, data warehouses, and data lakes such as s3 and Redshift. Knowledge of Apache Cassandra is a plus.
•    You know how to establish and manage ETL/ELT processes, and understand how to maintain solid scheduling framework maintained in Airflow.
•    You are proficient in programming and scripting languages like SQL, Python and Spark
•    You master documentation and diagramming techniques.
•    You have a solid understanding of AWS Services for Data Analytics and how to leverage them
•    Highly effective verbal and written communication skills in English. A good knowledge of Luxembourgish, German or French will be considered as an advantage.
